Wine by region

As the name suggests, Vins de Pays wines are defined by their geographical roots. They correspond to a vast number of wines which cover most of the top producing regions in France, with a few exceptions such as the Marne, the Aube and the Gironde amongst others… Different large regional units exist and their uniformity is ensured by a climatic similarity and the use of the same grape varieties.
These large viticultural units are usually classified as follows  :
  • Val de Loire
  • Charentes and Aquitaine
  • Midi Pyrénées
  • Languedoc Roussillon
  • Provence Côte d’Azur
  • Corsica
  • The Rhône Alpes region
  • The East
